The lucky ones

Imagine... as soon as 2007 will start... and everyone begins anew...
you'll be locked away.

This is what will happen with my friend. There was a time he made a mistake. Prison is his pay. 3 to 5 years.

While we all will continue to normally follow our way.. go out and play... have fun .. and work for our future
he'll stay in a vacuum of static time. No past, no perspective. No freedom, no own decisions. Only rules. And regret.
A caged bird. A black sheep. Locked away in the darkest corner of the country, only able to hope for some letters from the outside world in order not to loose sense of time.

Think of my friend everytime you choose to go out of the door. Because it's not as a natural given thing as we tend to pretend it is.

3 years are an unbelievable long time. What will you be doing by then? At least he will still be in his cell.
I wish for you a better 2007 that for my friend. Let's get conscious of our uncountable possibilities to live in this world. Let us respect and honour them. And no matter how unsatisfied or annoyed we are, let's keep in mind that the decision is ours. Since we are the lucky ones.
