A Girl Is Gunning Down Romance

This is a story I got told...
Once upon a time, there was a dreamy girl who was afraid to go out of her room. She feared that, once she came out, she'd get lost. At night, she lay awake on the floor and observed the shadows under the door, longing for one of them to stand still before her room and knock. She would open up and a shining prince would be standing there to catch her hand. Then she would have nothing to be afraid of anymore. But no matter how long the girl waited, she never got to hear that kind of sound. She felt really sad, though she told herself: "Maybe, the prince is just shy. After all, I can see his shadow passig by all the time". And so, she decided to come out of her room to talk to the prince. But outside, she realized that the shadows she saw under her door were nothing but from the branches of a tree. She had always waited for an illusion and nobody ever wanted to come to get her in the first place. In the face of that fact, she was not able to stop herself from crying and got stared at by all the strangers on the street. But nobody dared to approach her in these bitter tears.
Since the girl had now left her room, she could not return to it. She was so disappointed that she swore herself to never ever hope for love again and banned all feelings from her body. Then she tried to make a step forward - And got lost.

Just don't let a broken heart take control of you, you hear me?
We all need to continue believing in a prince or a princess.
